Facebook Also Offers Nostalgic Year Together Features, Similar To Instagram, Here's How To Make It!

JAKARTA - After Instagram, now it's Facebook's turn to launch the 'Year Together' card feature on its Android and iOS apps, allowing users to reminisce about the best moments of the year.

The parent company of Facebook and Instagram Meta, has launched a similar feature, namely Playback on Instagram where users can also share their top ten Stories this year. Users will be able to see friends, photos, locations, and other experiences they share on the platform just like the Year Together feature.

Furthermore, the Year Together feature will suggest uploads or content shared by users, and will be compiled and then users can share them as uploads. However, users can delete and select images or other content instead.

That option can be useful if the user doesn't want to relive certain memories from the past year. Once shared, the post (or card) will be visible to that user's friend list or that particular user, if they have set specific privacy settings for the post. This feature can be used until the end of the year.

Reporting from Gadget360, Sunday, December 12, Facebook and Instagram are not the first apps to launch a review feature later this year in 2021. The feature is common among apps designed to attract social engagement.

The popular streaming service Spotify also offers a similar feature called Spotify Wrapped. This feature offers users the ability to view statistics such as the artists they listen to the most, the top songs they play, and how much time they spend listening to music.
