Tourist Object Security Posts Are Alerted During Year-End Holidays

SEMARANG - Police will alert security posts at various tourist attractions spread across various regions in Central Java during the Christmas and year-end holidays.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Commissioner Iqbal Alqudusy, said the establishment of these security posts was an effort to anticipate the increase in community mobility during the year-end holidays.

Various tourist objects that will receive serious attention in this security include natural, marine, cultural tourism, to crowded centers.

According to him, there are around 72 security posts with a personnel strength of up to 1.700 police assigned.

He explained that the police on duty will have the responsibility to enforce the discipline of the COVID-19 health protocol.

"Officers must be able to discipline visitors to tourist objects in implementing health protocols," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 10.

Security officers, he continued, will coordinate with task forces in each region to map out strengthening the implementation of health protocols that must be implemented.

As previously reported, the government will determine the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level based on an assessment in each region during the Christmas holidays and the end of the year.

This replaces the previous policy regarding the implementation of Level PPKM throughout Indonesia during the Christmas and year-end holidays.
