2 Bodies And One Body Part Of Semeru Eruption Victims Identified
LUMAJANG - The National Police Headquarters Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team managed to identify two bodies and one body part of the victim who died due to the hot cloud disaster that fell from Mount Semeru that entered the DVI Team post.
"The DVI team managed to identify two bodies, so now there are 25 bodies that have been identified from a total of 35 bodies that entered the post", said Head of the General Information Section at the National Police Headquarters, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, in a press conference held at Dr. Haryoto Lumajang General Hospital. quoted by Antara, Friday, December 10.
In addition to identifying the two bodies, he continued, the Inafis (Automatic Finger Print Identification System) Team also managed to identify one body part found by the evacuation team in the form of nails or skin from the hands.
"Overall, until December 10, 2021, 25 bodies and one body part have been identified by the DVI and Inafis teams", he said.
The DVI of the National Police team has received 38 body bags and three of them are body parts, but 25 bodies and one body part have been identified.
"So there are still 10 bodies and two body parts that have not been identified. For the sex of the 10 bodies that have not been identified, it is known, namely nine male bodies and one female body", he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Health Office of the East Java Police, Kombes Dr. Erwin Zainul Hakim, said that the two bodies that had been identified as secondary, namely Andra Hanan Bin Edi Prabowo, were 7 years old, male, with the address Dusun Curah Kobokan, Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District.
"Then the second body, namely 50-year-old Djumat, a resident of Dusun Curah Kobokan, Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District. Two bodies were identified thanks to the support of all parties", he said.
Meanwhile, the body parts that have been identified were conveyed by the Head of the Inafis Police Center (Kapus), Brigadier General Police Mashudi, who said that the body parts belonged to the victim Bawon Priono who had died a few days ago.
"We believe that the body part that went into the post yesterday and after a manual comparison was made, the body part belongs to Bawon Priono's brother", he said.
On this Friday, the DVI Team received one body from the evacuation team at the sand mining site of Curah Kobokan Hamlet, Pronojiwo District, and one body part that was found in Kamar Kajang Hamlet, Candipuro District.
