Metro Police Chief's Plan To Facilitate Illegal Racing Is Blocked In Circuit Land, Ditlantas Efforts To Collaborate With Kemenpora
JAKARTA - The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya is still looking for the location and rules for making the circuit. Making this circuit in order to facilitate the illegal racers.
"We will look for the format, including from the regional government to be able to find a circuit for the implementation (of racing)," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Wednesday, December 8.
In the process of facilitating this illegal racing, the police have coordinated with several parties. For example, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) to discuss the plan comprehensively.
So, in the future there will be no problems that will occur in terms of regulations or otherwise.
"In the near future, we will hold an FGD. With a focus on discussion, we invite various stakeholders, institutions and agencies related to this race," said Sambodo.
"For example, from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, sponsors from several motorcycle communities and even from illegal racing communities that often race and we invite jockeys," continued Sambodo.
With the facilitation of this wild racing, it is hoped that the talent of the racers will emerge. So, they can advance to a higher level and make the Indonesian nation proud.
"Who knows from the perpetrators they have talents who can carry the name of Indonesia at the international level," said Sambodo.
Previously, the Kapolda Metro Jaya Inspector General Fadil Imran would facilitate the illegal racers. The trick, by opening a special location for racing at night.
"That's why I want to build a (race venue). My plan, pray for me, hopefully (it will be realized). I will make a race for illegal racers," said Fadil to reporters, Tuesday, November 30.
One of the reasons behind the discourse of creating locations for illegal racers is coaching. So, they do not take to the streets and carry out illegal racing actions that endanger lives.
"So I will facilitate the illegal racing, not be hostile. Instead of being arrested, I will facilitate him," said Inspector General Fadil.
"I've gotten a lot of input from the community so that the Kapolda can help this night wild racing be fostered, not arrested but fostered," he continued.
