Bobby Nasution Will Do Magic To Kesawan Medan Architecture In Dutch Style
MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution admitted that he would conjure up a way to restore the Kesawan Old Town architecture to a stylized design in the Dutch era.
"Later on, the Kesawan area will carry the concept of an old building in a mixed style between European, Malay and Chinese architecture, which is rich in artistic and historical values," said Bobby Nasution in Medan, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 7.
To support this desire, he said, the relevant regional apparatus organizations (OPD) within the Medan City Government were asked to prepare detailed planning for the Old Town of Kesawan.
Bobby revealed that the old buildings in this area will be provided with walkways and shopping arcades for pedestrians.
"Functionally, it will provide benefits to the community so that they feel safe and comfortable, especially for tourists who visit the Old City of Kesawan," explained the Mayor of Medan.

Meanwhile, the Head of Housing for the Settlement and Spatial Planning of Medan City, Endar Sutan Lubis, admitted that the beauty and aesthetic value in Kota Lama Kesawan will be carried out with a "ducting utility" (repairing network cables).
With the "ducting utility", he explained, the entire cable network would later be inserted into the ground so that it would not be as chaotic as it is today.
"Later on, this 'ducting utility' will be carried out in conjunction with the planning for the drainage of Kota Lama Kesawan. The work will be carried out in conjunction with the physical arrangement," said Endar.
