Makassar City Government Follows Up On Cancellation Of PPKM Level 3 End Of Year
MAKASSAR - The Makassar City Government, North Sulawesi, immediately followed up on the central government's policy regarding the cancellation of Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) during Christmas and New Year holidays.
"We will study and immediately adjust to the central government's policy of canceling the implementation of PPKM Level 3 towards the end of 2021 evenly in Indonesia," said Makassar Mayor Ramdhan Pomanto (Danny Pomanto) quoted by Antara, Tuesday, December 7.
He said the policy that was just issued by the central government must be adjusted to conditions on the ground while still increasing vigilance, even though there are concessions given to community activities.
Previously, the PPKM policy warned the public to impose restrictions, including on the capacity of places in public spaces, a number of partitions, and road closures.

Regarding the COVID-19 vaccination in Makassar City, the Acting Head of the Makassar Health Service, Nursaidah, said that the City Government realized the first phase as many as 888,808 people or around 72 percent of a total of about 1.1 million local residents.
The second dose of vaccine was realized around 51.83 percent or 571,525 Makassar residents in mid-November 2021.
