Just A Month Out Of Prison, A Resident In Bali Pawns A Friend's Motorbike To Rent A Sex Worker

BADUNG - A resident named Putu Sugiarta (27) from Tukad Sumaga Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, has been arrested again after embezzling a friend's motorbike.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mengwi, Badung, Bali Police, Iptu I Ketut Wiwin Wirahadi, said that the perpetrator had only been out of prison for about a month. The perpetrator pawned his friend's motorbike.

"He pawned his friend's motorbike. The perpetrator was arrested by the Jembrana Police for a theft case and was sentenced to one year and six months in prison. And in 2020 the perpetrator was arrested by the West Denpasar Police for embezzlement and was sentenced to one year in prison", said Iptu Wiwin, Tuesday, December 7.

The perpetrator took his action on Thursday, November 25 in Mengwi. At that time, the victim picked up the perpetrator in Tabanan and then invited him to the victim's boarding house.

Arriving at the victim's boarding house, the perpetrator borrowed a motorbike with the excuse of picking up his friend.

"However, until the afternoon the perpetrator did not return the victim's motorbike and it was difficult to contact the perpetrator. For this incident, the victim reported to the Mengwi Police and the victim's loss was around IDR 12 million", explained Iptu Wiwin.

The police investigated this case until they found out that the new perpetrator was released from the Karangasem Prison. Police arrested the perpetrator on Thursday, December 2.

From the results of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had committed fraud and/or embezzlement of a motorcycle brand

Yamaha Lexi Nopol DK 6322 ABA. The perpetrator pawned the motorbike to someone in Buleleng for IDR 12 million.

"That the money from the pawn of one unit of a Yamaha Lexi motorcycle was used by the perpetrators to indulge and order sex workers online or MiChat", said Iptu Wiwin.
