Anies Already Signs PPKM Gubernatorial Decree Level 3 When Canceled By Central Government, Deputy Governor: We Understand
JAKARTA - The central government canceled the plan to implement PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Level 3 simultaneously in all regions. However, it turns out that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has issued a Jakarta regulation to enforce PPKM Level 3 from December 24, 2021, to January 2, 2022.
The regulation was signed by Anies through the Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 1430 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of COVID-19 Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions, which followed up on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 62 of 2021 concerning Prevention and Control of COVID-19 during Christmas and New Year's 2022.
Responding to this, the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, admitted that he understood the change in the policy of limiting activities during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
"We are grateful to be grateful for the policies that have been taken by the central government. Indeed, we understand and understand, at the end of the year, during holidays like previous years, the spread of COVID-19 is always followed by an increase in the spread of COVID-19", said Riza at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, December 7th.
Riza admitted that the DKI Provincial Government will again revise the PPKM Level 3 Gubernatorial Decree by the policies directed by the central government.
"We will adjust it later. All policies will adjust the existing policies. The policies below follow the policies above", said Riza.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said the government had decided to make a more balanced policy by not treating all regions equally before Christmas and New Year's Eve.
The government decided not to apply PPKM level 3 in the Christmas and New Year periods in all regions. The implementation of the PPKM level during Christmas and New Year will continue to follow the assessment of the pandemic situation as currently applicable, but with some tightening.
This decision is also based on the achievement of dose 1 vaccination in Java-Bali which has reached 76 percent and dose 2 which is close to 56 percent. Vaccination for the elderly continues to be boosted until it reaches 64 and 42 percent for doses 1 and 2 in Java and Bali.
In comparison, no Indonesians were vaccinated during the Christmas and New Years' period last year. The results of the surveys also show that Indonesians already have high levels of COVID-19 antibodies.
