COVID-19 Update As Of 7 December: 261 New Cases, 420 Healed More
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 375,878 specimens were examined with the result that there were 261 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,258,076 people and 5,466 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, December 7.
Today's recovered cases increased by 420 cases, bringing the total to 4,108,717 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 17 people and a total of 143,893 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 59 cases and a total of 708,127 cases. Followed by East Java with 36 new cases with a total of 399,609 cases. DKI Jakarta has 31 new cases and a total of 864,223 cases. Then, Central Java with 17 new cases and a total of 486,531 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 107 recovered cases. Followed by Riau with an increase of 65 recovered cases, DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 47 recovered cases, and East Java with an increase of 41 recovered cases.
There are 9 provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Jambi, Aceh, West Sumatra, Jambi, Bengkulu, North Kalimantan, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku and North Maluku. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 56,528,234.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.14 percent", he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 6,116 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 143,291,352 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 99,825,444 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,248,870. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
