JEPARA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked all people in Central Java to continue to carry out health protocols in a disciplined manner to anticipate the spread of the new variant of the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 Omicron.

"Alhamdulillah, until now Central Java is still safe from the spread of COVID-19 Omicron. However, the public must remain vigilant," he said when he was met on the sidelines of planting tree seedlings in the Setro Pine Forest area, Batealit Village, Batealit District, Jepara Regency, December 4th.

In addition to the discipline of wearing masks, diligently washing hands and avoiding crowds, and keeping a distance, Ganjar also asked the public not to travel during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

Including anticipatory steps at the airport are also carried out with continuous testing. As a result, he said, for the time being there were no new variant viruses found in Central Java.

The existence of a tourist attraction during the Christmas and New Year holidays later, the Central Java Provincial Government will control the number of visitors so that there are no crowds. However, when it cannot be controlled, a firm decision will be made by closing it.
