64 Thousand Residents Of West Sumatra Vaccinate During Singgalang Zebra Operation

PADANG - The West Sumatra Regional Police (Polda) recorded 64,337 residents were vaccinated during the 2021 Singgalang Zebra Operation.

The Head of Sub-Division of Penmas Bidhumas of the West Sumatra Police, Grand Commissioner Adjutant Afriyani, said that during the two weeks of the Singgalang Zebra Operation, there had been an acceleration of vaccination rates in this area.

"This vaccination activity is carried out continuously throughout the West Sumatra Regional Police," he said, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 3.

He said the West Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Putra continued to ask the ranks to work hard to improve vaccination achievements in the area.

According to him, vaccinations in West Sumatra a few months ago were quite low and slowly rose to more than 52 percent.

"The importance of education and providing correct information regarding this vaccine will affect achievement," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Sub-section for Minopsnal Bagbinops of Ditlantas of the West Sumatra Police, Commissioner of Police Febgendri said during the implementation of the 2021 Singgalang Zebra Operation, the Ditlantas of the West Sumatra Police and the Traffic Unit of the Police in the ranks put forward invitations and appeals to the public to comply with health protocols and vaccinations.

"The focus is on simultaneous COVID-19 vaccination activities in all Polres," he said.

The West Sumatra Police carried out a centralized police operation codenamed Operation Zebra Singgalang 2021. The operation was carried out for 14 days, starting from November 15 to 28, 2021.

He said his party continues to invite the public to take vaccinations as an effort to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. "This invitation and appeal will continue to be carried out so that the public is aware of the importance of vaccination to get out of this pandemic," he said.
