Transformer Batteries Caused Cyber I Mampang Building Fire
JAKARTA - The police stated that the first hotspot in the Cyber I Mampang building fire incident, South Jakarta, came from a transformer battery. The transformer battery is on the 2nd floor of the building.
"It came from a transformer battery on the 2nd floor at the back of the Cyber building that caught fire, releasing the source of the fire", said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes E. Zulpan, in his statement, Friday, December 3.
The cause of the fire was determined based on a series of witness statements. So far, the police have asked for statements from 4 witnesses.
"(The cause of the fire) Based on the testimony of witnesses on behalf of Septian. So far, 4 witnesses have been examined", said Zulpan.
However, to further ascertain the cause of the Cyber 1 building fire, the police will again hold a crime scene (TKP) to obtain evidence and instructions. Moreover, further crime scene processing will involve the Forensic Laboratory.
"Still will continue to be investigated and collect evidence and clues", said Zulpan.

Previously, the Cyber building caught fire when sparks appeared in the server room on the second floor on Thursday, December 2, at around 12.00 WIB.
The spark created a puff of smoke, causing panic among employees in the building. Officers arrived at the location at around 12.41 WIB and immediately extinguished the source of the fire on the second floor.
As a result of the fire incident, two people were declared dead. They have the initials SF and MRK.
