Welcoming The Perpol Appointment As State Civil Apparatus Of Police, Ex-KPK Employees: Indonesia Calls Again To Contribute

JAKARTA - The National Police's regulation to appoint 57 employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was welcomed. Former KPK investigator, Yudi Purnomo, said this indicated that Indonesia was again calling on them to contribute to fighting corruption with their knowledge and experience.

"Alhamdulillah, if the regulations are in place. This means that Indonesia will call again to contribute with the knowledge and experience I have in eradicating corruption", Yudi told reporters, Friday, December 3.

He said that his 14.5 years of experience as an investigator at the KPK will certainly help the National Police to eradicate homicide practices in the country. Likewise with the experience of dozens of other employees.

Meanwhile, another former employee, Hotman Tambunan, said that a response would be given after they received a copy of the regulations, including listening to the socialization that would be given.

"Of course we will respond after we get (a copy, red) of the National Police Chief's Regulation, yes", he said.

He believes, after this, the Police will immediately disseminate this regulation to them. "The National Police Chief will definitely invite us to socialize so that later everything will be clear", said Hotman.

Previously, the National Police appointed 57 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to become the Bhayangkara Corps State Civil Apparatus (ASN). The appointment is stated in the Regulation of the Indonesian National Police (Perpol) Number 15 of 2021.

"That's right, the Perpol has been issued", said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, to reporters, Friday, December 3.

The Perpol stated the special appointment of 57 former employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission to become employees of the State Civil Apparatus within the Indonesian National Police.

With the Perpol, Novel Baswedan and his friends have been registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. So, the next process is only the determination by the State Civil Service Agency (BKN) because there are still stages that must be passed.
