Want To Get Married At A Young Age? Think About It First Because It Is Vulnerable To Violence To Reproductive Health Problems
MATARAM - The Family Welfare Empowerment Team (TP PKK) Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara Province said that early marriage is prone to problems, especially for women. The trigger for the problem starts from the mental partner who is not ready to financial ability.
"This is a problem that we must face together, because early marriage can pose a danger, especially for women's reproductive health and are vulnerable to becoming victims of domestic violence," said Head of the Mataram City PKK TP Kinnastri Roliskana in Mataram, Antara, Friday, December 3.
As an effort to prevent early marriage in Mataram City, the Mataram City PKK TP has intensified socialization of the prevention as well as the dangers of drugs, in collaboration with the Mataram City Ministry of Religion and the National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
The initial stage of socialization was held at the Sandubaya sub-district office on Thursday and was attended by dozens of participants from various circles of society. When referring to Law Number 23 of 2017 concerning Child Protection, children may marry at the age of 19.

"Therefore, we hope that our outreach activities can be part of a massive education to prevent child marriage and drug abuse through community elements such as the assembly and youth Ta'lim (education) in the community," she said.
In addition to early marriage, she said, the problem of drug abuse, especially for teenagers, is still common.
"In fact, in the case of the occupants of the Class II-A Mataram Women's Prison, it was noted that 95 percent of the inmates were involved in drug cases, both as users and dealers," she said.
He explained that drug abuse is harmful to the health of the body, including impaired brain function that affects a person's ability to think, memory, and concentration decreases as well as difficulty making the right decisions.
"Drug abuse is also a priority problem that we must address so that our generation can be healthy, intelligent, have a noble character, and be free from drugs," she said.
