Jakarta Deputy Governor Asks Police To Reveal Cause Of Mampang Cyber Building Fire
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked the police to reveal the main cause of the fire that occurred at the Cyber building, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.
Riza said the investigation was handed over to the police specifically to see whether there was an element of intent in the incident that killed the two victims.
"Later, the police will see if there is an element of intent here or not," said Riza when inspecting the Cyber building, Mampang, South Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 2.
The Gerindra Party politician believes that the management may not have had any intention of such an event.
"Every manager has an interest in making this building good. Thank God, from the 12 floors there were only on the 2nd floor," he said.
Riza said that his party will evaluate the feasibility of the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) facility to anticipate casualties when a disaster or fire occurs.
This could not be separated from the closing of all the windows at the time the incident occurred, causing one person to die at the location.
"We will examine what is the cause, hopefully in the future, we will take steps," said Riza.
