Anies: Formula E Strengthens Jakarta's Position After The Capital Moves
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the Formula E electric car racing event would strengthen Jakarta's position as the center of the economy after the capital was moved to East Kalimantan.
"We know that the capital city will move and we hope that Jakarta will continue to be a center of economic activity, a center for cultural activities, a center for arts activities and that will continue. Therefore, Formula E is expected to strengthen Jakarta's role as one of the economic centers", said Anies at the Jakarta City Hall hall, Monday, November 29.
In addition to remaining the center of the economy, Jakarta will become the center of ongoing cultural and artistic activities.
"This anticipates the situation in Jakarta after the capital city, we both know there will be plans to move from Jakarta", said Anies.
DKI Jakarta will host the Formula E electric car racing event on June 4, 2022. However, until now there is no certainty about the location because a survey is still being conducted by Formula E Operation (FEO).
