He said the action would continue until Anies fulfills their demands regarding the DKI Jakarta UMP in 2022. Moreover, Winarso said Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation which is the basis for calculating the UMP has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court (MK).
"Upon the decision of the Constitutional Court, all governors and regents or mayors in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia are obliged to revoke the decree regarding the UMP (2022) including the governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan must dare to revoke the decree related to the UMP 2022," he stressed.
"KSPI will maximize mass action until the governor fulfills their demands regarding the 2022 DKI Jakarta UMP without the Omnibus Law which has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court," added Winarso.
Previously reported, the Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah ensured that the average increase in the 2022 provincial minimum wage (UMP) nationally was 1.09 percent. This provision is in accordance with the applicable formula in Government Regulation PP Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.
Meanwhile, regarding the 2022 UMP in DKI Jakarta, the increase is only around Rp. 37,000 or 0.85 percent from the previous year. So, based on Anies Baswedan's announcement, the current salary in the capital city is Rp4.45 million from the previous Rp4,416,186.
The amount of this UMP, he continued, is based on the provisions of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation as well as the formula contained in Article 26 and Article 27 of Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages that apply to workers/laborers with a working period of less than 1 year.
