PAPUA - Soldiers from the National Armed Forces (TNI), Pamtas Task Force RI-PNG Infantry Battalion 123/Rajawali under Kolakopsrem 174/ATW Merauke are not only skilled in maintaining border area security. The soldiers are also required to be involved in the development of human resources in the area of duty.
This is evident when they became teachers at the pre-school - elementary school (PAUD-SD) school neighborhood unit (RT) 03 Yakyu, Rawabiru Village, Sota District, Merauke Regency, Papua. Not only that, school bags and books were also given to students.
The Commander of the Task Force (Dansatgas) of the Pamtas Battalion 123/RW Lt. Col. Inf Goklas P. Silaban said that the distribution of books and school bags was a task he led to motivate children to be enthusiastic in studying.
"So that in the future we can excel in order to achieve the desired goals. I have ordered all ranks of the Pos Task Force to always care about children and teach education," he said in a written statement, Antara, Sunday, November 28.
Dansatgas Lieutenant Colonel Goklas Silaban admitted that students cannot go to school face-to-face every day because they are still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The provision of books and bags is a manifestation of the TNI task force's concern for children at the border of this country.
