After Summoning Arteria Dahlan Without President's Permission, Now It's A Problem For The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief
JAKARTA - The dispute between DPR Commission III member Arteria Dahlan and a woman who claims to be the general's family, Anggiat Pasaribu, has led to a peaceful path. Anggiat has withdrawn the report and has apologized to Arteria's mother at the Soekarno Hatta Airport Police after mediation efforts.
However, the problem has now spread to the ethical issue of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Edwin Hariandja. The reason is, the police can't just summon Arteria for questioning.
According to Article 245 paragraph 1 of the MD3 Law, the examination of DPR members must go through the president's written permission on the consideration of the Council's Honorary Court (MKD). This means that the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief is considered to have violated the applicable law.
In addition, at the time of the incident, the Airport Police did not serve Arteria because he had not claimed to be a member of the council. Instead, the Police prioritized Anggiat, who claimed to be the family of a three-star general.
This problem is now in the spotlight of the DPR MKD. The MKD leadership asked the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Edwin Hariandja, to be evaluated by the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General M Fadil Imran.
Deputy Chairman of the MKD DPR Habiburokhman regretted the attitude of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Edwin Hariandja, in terms of serving the public who wanted to report. He then asked the Metro Jaya Police Chief to evaluate his subordinates.
"We regret that if he complies with the law, the Head of the Airport Police will ask the Metro Jaya Police to evaluate this person," Habiburokhman said at the DPR Building, Wednesday, November 24.
Habiburokhman said that there was a difference in treatment for Arteria before and after admitting to being a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Where the Airport Police first served people who claimed to be of rank than ordinary civilians.
"That's one thing we need to evaluate. I as a member of Commission III conveyed to the Regional Police Chief, what is the standard if people claiming to be stars are served first rather than people claiming to be the people," he said.
Meanwhile, Arteria admitted that he did not know and had never met the figure of the Chief of Police, Grand Commissioner Edwin. Arteria only said that at the time of the incident elements at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police seemed 'afraid' of the general's family woman.
"I have never met the police chief. The different treatment was in the terminal two sub-sector. The treatment was seen when the police were cursing at the mother but remained silent. It was as if the police were flat, all of them were great," said Arteria at the DPR Building, Wednesday, 24 November.
As a member of the commission in partnership with the National Police, Arteria could not comment on the MKD's objection to the attitude of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief. According to him, this will be discussed later.
"I think we'll talk about it later, I don't know who the PDIP politician is," said the PDIP politician.

The police denied that the news that Arteria Dahlan had been ignored during the reporting process. However, he was immediately served well after claiming to be a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.
"Served by members in the field, we accept people who report. We still accept people who need help," said Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Edwin Hariandja to reporters, Wednesday, November 24.
Edwin also denied that during the reporting process at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, his party prioritized Anggita Pasaribu because she had a relationship with a TNI general.
According to him, both parties are equally well served. Moreover, in the eyes of the law, everyone has equality.
"No (differentiated), all are equal," said Edwin.
