212 Reunion Plans At The Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Police Headquarters Participates In Monitoring

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that they have prepared anticipatory steps related to the 212 Reunion plan at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, or next to Monas. The precautionary measure relates to the crowd.

"Metro Police has anticipated this activity," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, November 24.

Not only at the Regional Police level, continued Dedi, the National Police Headquarters (Mabes) will also monitor all processes for handling the action. It's just that there is no detail about the security scheme.

The reason is that the technical security for the 212 Reunion activities is at the regional level. Thus, the responsibility lies with the Metro Jaya Police.

On the other hand, Dedi appealed to the public to remain disciplined. Especially in implementing health protocols. Because the spread of COVID-19 is still happening.

"People must implement health procedures, especially wearing masks, and keep together maintaining the Jakarta security and social security system," said Dedi.

As previously reported, the 212 Alumni Association (PA) plans to hold a 212 reunion on December 2, 2021. However, this activity will not be held at the National Monument (Monas).

Secretary-General of PA 212 Novel Bamukmin said the plan is for the 212 Reunion to be held at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta. This location is right next to Monas.

"The plan is to hold it at the Horse Statue," said Novel Bamukmin in a short message to VOI, Tuesday, November 23.

However, Novel said the preparations for the 212 Reunion were still being finalized by the event organizing committee.

"Everything is still in the brewing process. Later when it is fixed, we will send the official release," said Novel.
