JAKARTA - The perpetrator of the theft of a motorbike with the initials ED alias OR (28), a resident of the Curug District, Serang City, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cipocok Jaya Police, Banten Police.

The perpetrators were found to have carried out the theft of a motorbike in front of the Banjarsari Environmental Government RSS Complex, Cipocok Jaya District, Serang City, Banten.

Irwan Nova said the incident began when the victim, Soleh, a resident of Cipocok Jaya Sub-district, parked his automatic motorbike with the key still hanging on the motorcycle contact. ED saw that there was a key hanging on the automatic motorcycle with the police number A 6971 CU, the ED perpetrator immediately took him away.

"The victim suffered a loss of around Rp. 18,690,000 and reported the crime of theft to the Cipocok Jaya Police," said 2nd Insp. Irwan when confirmed Sunday, November 21.

After receiving the incident report, the police immediately conducted a crime scene (TKP) and chased the perpetrator. The police received information that the perpetrator lived in Curug District. Members also move quickly to catch the perpetrators of ED.

Arriving at the perpetrator's hiding place, the police raided and arrested the perpetrator. The police also confiscated onions as evidence of the victim's main motorbike.

"The evidence that was confiscated was the stolen motorbike belonging to the victim. The perpetrator was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of 5 years in prison," he said.
