Alert, Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In North Sulawesi Increase To 34,584

JAKARTA - The accumulation of positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in North Sulawesi (North Sulawesi) reached 34,584 cases after adding seven new cases on Saturday.

"The new cases come from North Minahasa Regency, three people, Minahasa Regency two people, and Manado City and Tomohon City one person each," said Spokesperson for the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in North Sulawesi, Dr. Steaven Dandel MPH in Manado.

According to him, all the new COVID-19 patients are receiving treatment at the hospital. This gives an illustration that the case has moderate symptoms and possibly even severe symptoms," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

Therefore, the North Sulawesi Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force appealed to all levels of society to immediately get a complete two-dose vaccination.

"It is also expected to increase awareness of the transmission of COVID-19 by tightening the implementation of health protocols," he said.

Doctor Steaven added that the accumulated recovered cases had reached 33,512 people or 96.90 percent after the addition of five people from South Minahasa Regency (three people) and Bitung City (two people).

Meanwhile, cases of death are still at 1,037 people with a case fatality rate of 3.00 percent. Furthermore, 35 people confirmed positive for COVID-19 who are still receiving treatment (active cases) or 0.10 percent of the total cases.
