There Are 31,000 ASN Receive Social Assistance, DPR Suggests Ministry Of Social Affairs To Re-validate The DTKS System
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, stated that there are around 31,000 state civil servants (ASN) who are indicated to receive social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs. The program takes the form of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).
In this regard, Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the House of Representatives, Ace Hasan Syadzily, suggested the Ministry of Social Affairs re-validate the Social Welfare Integrated Data System (DTKS) for recipients of social assistance funds. This is because the findings of ASN being recipients of social assistance shows that DTKS still has problems.
"There is still a problem with DTKS or integrated social welfare data. For example, ASN is still registered as a recipient of social assistance", said Ace in Jakarta, Friday, November 19.
The Golkar politician questioned the DTKS data collection system because it often had problems. Moreover, said Ace, ASN is not a priority in the list of social assistance recipients.
"Indeed, ASN who have received a salary, income should not be a priority to get social assistance", said Ace.

In principle, said Ace, social assistance is a program provided by the government to anyone whose life is currently affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the priority is the small communities that are the most affected.
"Social assistance should be given to people who really need it, especially people affected by COVID-19", he concluded.
Previously, the Minister of Social Affairs, Tri Rismaharini, said there were around 31,000 state civil servants (ASN) indicated to receive social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs. Both in the form of programs in the form of the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT).
"So, after we submitted the data to the BKN (State Civil Service Agency) it was recorded which indicated that there were 31,624 civil servants", Risma said during a press conference, Thursday, November 18.
Risma explained that the data was obtained when the Ministry of Social Affairs conducted periodic verification of data on social assistance recipients. Of the 31 thousand, 28,965 people are active civil servants and the rest are retirees who actually should not receive social assistance.
He even mentioned that the ASN profession that received social assistance came from various backgrounds, such as educators, medical personnel, and so on.
"We convey the data to BKN, we scan the population data, 'please check whether this is a civil servant or not? It turns out that it is true (ASN)", said Risma.
