BMKG Ambon Monitors Lunar Eclipse In Martha Christina Tiahahu Statue Area Later In The Evening
AMBON - Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) Class 1 Geophysics Station Ambon, Maluku, will focus on monitoring the partial lunar eclipse in the Martha Christina Tiahahu Statue area, Karang Panjang area of Ambon this evening.
"We observed a partial lunar eclipse on Friday evening at the location of the Martha Christina Tiahahu Statue in the Karang Panjang area of Ambon", said the Head of the BMKG Geophysics Station Class 1 Ambon, Herlambang Hudha, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 19.
He said Friday evening's partial lunar eclipse can be seen with the naked eye at locations according to the phases of the partial lunar eclipse.
This partial lunar eclipse is harmless to the eye and is not associated with any catastrophe.
"Those who want to make observations can go directly to the area around Tugu Christina, we have prepared equipment to observe", he said.
The duration (length) of the eclipse from the beginning of the penumbral phase to the end of the penumbral phase will last for 6 hours 5 minutes 7 seconds.
