Ministry Of Religion Disburses IDR 66 Billion Incentives For 44 Thousand Non-Civil Servant PAI Teachers
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Islamic Education (Pendis) of the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) has begun to disburse incentives for non-civil servants (PNS) Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers with a total budget of IDR 66 billion for 44,000 teachers.
"Incentive assistance for the non-civil servant of PAI teachers is an affirmation of the Ministry of Religion for the welfare of PAI teachers in schools", said Religious Affairs Minister, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, in a written statement quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 17.
Yaqut said the incentive assistance was an additional income given to a non-civil servant of PAI teachers in schools that had not been certified and had not yet received a teacher professional allowance.
He hopes that this incentive will motivate non-civil servants of PAI teachers to work better in improving the quality of education.
Meanwhile, Director General of Islamic Education M. Ali Ramdhani said the IDR 66 billion budget was allocated for 44,000 non-civil servants of PAI teachers at the elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP), high school (SMA)/vocational high school (SMK) levels), as well as special schools (SLB) at all levels.
"Each will get IDR 1.5 million withholding tax. This incentive will be sent directly to their respective accounts. No deductions, deductions, or levies are allowed for any reason, in any form, and by any party, except taxes by applicable regulations and/or interbank transfer fees", he said.

According to him, incentives for the 2021 fiscal year are given to the non-civil servant of PAI teachers who meet the requirements as recipients by being determined through the Religious Teacher Information and Administration System (SIAGA) in order of priority.
There are also criteria for receiving non-civil servants of PAI teachers, such as non-civil servants of PAI teachers who are still actively teaching in Kindergarten, SD/LB, SMP/LB, SMA/LB, or SMK, recorded in SIAGA as of March 2021, not recipients of the teaching profession allowance. has a Unique Number of Educators and Education Personnel (NUPTK), has not yet entered retirement age, and has a long service life as an educator, as evidenced by a certificate starting from the date of teaching.
“Teachers who have served for a long time are one of the priorities. Teachers who have educational qualifications are also considered to be a priority scale", he said.
