A Number Of Active KPU-Bawaslu Members Passed The 2022-2027 Administrative Selection Period

JAKARTA - The Selection Team for Candidates for KPU (General Elections Commission) and Bawaslu (General Election Supervisory Agency) Members for the 2022-2027 period have selected the administrative files of the registrants. 629 people were declared to have passed the administrative selection for the next election administration period.

Chairman of the KPU-Bawaslu Team, Juri Ardiantoro, said that several active election organizers had also re-registered as candidates for KPU-Bawaslu members for the 2022-2027 period.

"The background of the candidates who are declared to have passed the administration, there are election organizers, both those currently serving, both central, provincial, district/city", said Juri at a press conference at the Ministry of Home Affairs office, Wednesday, November 17.

In addition, Juri also mentioned that former election organizers, both central, provincial, district/city also passed the administrative selection.

Not only that, but there are also registrants for KPU-Bawaslu members who come from professionals, academics, election activists, and others.

Judging from the list of candidates for KPU-Bawaslu members who passed the administrative selection, there are four names of Indonesia General Elections Commission members who have re-registered as candidates for the Indonesia General Elections Commission for the 2022-2027 period.

The KPU members who re-registered as candidates for the 2022-2027 KPU are I Dewa Kade Wiarsa Raka Sandi, Hasyim Asy'ari, Ilham Saputra and Viryan Azis. Meanwhile, RI KPU member Pramono Ubaid Tanthowi is on the list of candidates for the Indonesian Election Supervisory Body for the 2022-2027 period.

Then, the active Indonesian Bawaslu Members who will return to participate in the selection of candidates for the 2022-2021 Bawaslu Members are Fritz Edward Siregar and Rahmat Bagja. Meanwhile, the names Abhan and Mochammad Afifuddin were registered as candidates for the Indonesian KPU for the 2022-2027 period.

For information, 629 of the 868 registrants have passed the administrative selection for KPU-Bawaslu members for the 2022-2027 term. There were 492 KPU registrants and 376 Bawaslu registrants.

Applicants who are declared to have passed the administrative selection will follow the written, paper, and psychological selection stages which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, November 24-25 at the Jakarta International EXPO Kemayoran.
