Five Factions Of The DPRD Ask Anies To Evaluate The Infiltration Well Program In 2022
This was conveyed in the general view of the DPRD faction against the draft regional regulation of DKI regarding the 2022 budget year.
The five factions are PDIP, PSI, Nasdem, Golkar, and PKB-PPP. Meanwhile, the other four factions namely Gerindra, PKS, PAN, and Democrats did not mention the infiltration well program.
First, the PDIP Faction. A member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD, Agustina Hermanto or Tina Toon, said that her party asked Anies to abolish the infiltration well budget in 2022 because it is considered not very influential in controlling Jakarta floods.
So, said Tina, the budget allocation for infiltration wells could be diverted in addition to the river normalization budget.
"Unclear programs such as infiltration wells are recommended to be removed and the budget allocated for river normalization. Although it is late because, during the last 4 years, the Provincial Government has not done any normalization. We encourage this budget to be increased in 2022," said Tina at the DKI DPRD Building, Tuesday, November 16.

Second, the PSI Faction. Member of the PSI faction of the DKI DPRD, Justin Adrian, said that the budget proposal for the procurement of infiltration wells by the Water Resources Service at the KUA-PPAS 2022 APBD worth Rp361 billion is too large.
Justin considers the budget of hundreds of billions for these infiltration wells to be less effective in dealing with flooding than normalizing rivers. He said, infiltration wells are only effective in dealing with inundation, not flooding.
"We ask the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to evaluate the implementation of infiltration wells to find out how effective this program is in dealing with flooding in Jakarta," said Justin.
Third, the Nasdem Faction. Member of the Nasdem Faction, Abdul Aziz Muslim, said that the DKI Provincial Government needs to review the construction of infiltration wells and the designated locations.
"So, the infiltration well can have an appropriate function and be built on land that is in accordance with its designation," said Abdul Aziz.
Fourth, the Golkar Faction. Member of the Golkar faction of the DKI DPRD, Taufik Azhar, asked the Water Resources Office for an explanation regarding the mechanism for monitoring the quality of the infiltration well construction and determining the location for its construction.
"What is the capacity of each infiltration well? How many infiltration wells have been built? To what extent is the effectiveness level of the infiltration wells that have been built able to reduce the existing standing water? Don't just pursue the targets you want to achieve but the quality and targets are not right," said Taufik.
Fifth, the PKB-PPP Faction. Deputy Chairperson of the PKB-PPP Faction Jamaludin Lamanda also asked Anies to temporarily stop the construction of infiltration wells and evaluate them.
"An evaluation is carried out, whether there is no budget wastage, whether the benefits are commensurate with the costs incurred, whether the implementation is right on target, accountable, there are no leaks or irregularities, and other aspects that need to be evaluated jointly between the executive and the legislature," explained Jalamudin.
