Hotel Bookings Before Christmas And New Year In Bogor Still Quiet
BOGOR - Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Bogor City, West Java Yuno Abeta Lahay, hotel reservations one month and a half before the Christmas and New Year's 2022 holidays are still quiet.
"For Christmas and New Year, hotel bookings are not very visible yet, because currently, hotel management friends are still busy with booking ministry and institutional meetings," Yuno said when contacted by Antara, Monday, November 15.
According to Yuno, so far, PHRI has not received indicators of an increase in hotel bookings for other purposes, such as the activities of companies, local governments, families, and individuals.
The average occupancy due to the dominance of trust in the activities of ministries and institutions in Bogor City hotels reaches 80 percent on weekdays and above 90 percent on weekends.
Thanks to the easing of community activities in the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) level 1, not only in the city of Bogor, Yuno said, it has quite a positive impact on hotel occupancy. However, there is no data regarding bookings for the year-end holidays.

The agglomeration area, which includes the capital city of Jakarta and the surrounding areas in West Java, has made the community's economic activity cycle begin to move again with various easing according to its level.
Yuno said that hotels in Bogor City responded positively to the situation by remaining alert to the potential third wave of the spread of COVID-19.
The health protocol rules regarding the use of QR barcodes for the Care for Protection application, wearing masks, washing hands, and hand sanitizers, he said, are the commitments of PHRI members in serving guests.
However, individual awareness in taking care of themselves with the health protocols that have been set by the government and run by the hotel is the main thing.
That way, he said, during the Christmas and New Year's holidays in 2022, trust in Bogor City hotels is expected to remain high.
"We are grateful that the occupancy is quite high at this time and hopefully by the end of the year too. We are trying to trust hotel customers as best we can. It's just up to the individual," said Yuno.
