PPKM Java-Bali Extended Until November 29, Level 1 And 2 Areas Increase
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said PPKM in Java-Bali was extended for two weeks from November 16 to 29, 2021.
Luhut said, there was an increase in the number of regencies/cities that implemented PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions) Levels 1 and 2. The total number was 26 regencies/cities entering Level 1 and 61 regencies/cities entering Level 2.
"In the assessment that will take effect in the next two weeks, there will be an additional 10 regencies/cities included in Level 2 and 5 regencies/cities in Level 1", Luhut said in his statement, Monday, November 15.
Thus, the total number of regencies/cities included in Level 1 is 26 regencies/cities, Level 2 becomes 61 regencies/cities and Level 3 becomes 41 regencies/cities.
"Regarding the details of this decision, it will be rewritten in the Ministry of Home Affairs", said Luhut.

However, Luhut stressed that this condition must still be anticipated. This is because there is an indication of an increase in RT/Neighborhood Association (effective reproduction rate) which indicates an increase in cases in Java and Bali in the past week.
Then, several districts/cities in Java-Bali are starting to experience an increase in weekly cases and treatments.
Specifically for the Java-Bali region, there is 29 percent of regencies/cities experienced an increase in cases compared to last week, and 34 percent of regencies/cities experienced an increase in people being treated compared to last week.
“Care must be exercised especially for Christmas and New Year. Currently, the Google Mobility indicator which monitors the movement of people in Java and Bali shows a significant increase over the Christmas and New Year period last year and is approaching the position of the Eid al-Fitr period in May-June 2021, "explained Luhut.
