TGUPP Becomes A Burden, Anies Should Follow Ahok Example
JAKARTA - Chairman of the PKB-PPP faction of the DKI Regional House of Representatives Hasbiallah Ilyas asked DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to no longer pay the Governor's Team for the Acceleration of Development (TGUPP) from the Regional Budget.
This is because the salaries of tens of TGUPP Anies members are considered a burden on the Regional Budget. Moreover, the current COVID-19 pandemic is still hitting. Therefore, Hasbiallah suggested that Anies pay TGUPP from the governor's operational allowance.
"Please don't take the funds (TGUPP salaries) from the regional budget. Take it from the governor's operations, or others, because of the COVID-19 situation. It's a burden on the DKI Regional Government", said Hasbiallah when contacted, Thursday, November 11.
Moreover, Hasbiallah said, the presence of the TGUPP in the Anies era was considered to interfere with the work of the regional work unit (TGUPP). The Regional House of Representatives also cannot monitor and evaluate the performance of TGUPP.
We don't see what the performance of TGUPP is. It would be nice, please keep the TGUPP running, but the TGUPP should not interfere with official work", he said.

The Regional House of Representatives members' concern over the TGUPP was not only felt by Hasbiallah. Commission A of the DKI Regional House of Representatives also asked Anies to evaluate the TGUPP. His party recommended that Anies remove the operational function of TGUPP.
"Commission A recommends that an evaluation of the main functions and authorities of TUGPP be carried out by eliminating its operational functions", said Mujiyono.
Mujiyono considers that the current operational function of TGUPP is considered excessive and interferes with the work of the DKI Regional Apparatus Work Unit units. "This operational function scares the SKPD. We have recommended (removing the operational function of TGUPP) since the beginning, it has been many times", said Mujiyono.
Just as it is known that the TGUPP salary payment from operational allowances was once made by the former Governor of DKI, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok). The operational allowance is obtained by the governor from a maximum of 0.15 percent of the regional original income (PAD) which is divided in half with the deputy governor.
