Terror Acts At Veronica Koman's Parents' House Are Not Related To Terrorism

JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the throwing of objects that exploded at Veronica Koman's parents' house was not related to terrorism. The results of the investigation while the object that exploded was only a firecracker.

"From what we got, it didn't lead to terrorism because the explosives were just firecrackers that were detonated by irresponsible parties", said Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, to reporters, Wednesday, November 10.

However, Rusdi stated that at this time he could not confirm the motive behind the terror act. The investigation process is still ongoing.

The shooter has not been caught yet. It is known that the terror was allegedly carried out by 2 perpetrators.

"(The two perpetrators) are the results of CCTV footage, that's just a part, everything is being investigated", said Rusdi.

Previously, the house of the parents of Papuan activist Veronica Koman was terrorized by unknown persons. They threw objects suspected of having exploded dam bombs in the yard of their house in Jelambar Baru Gropet, West Jakarta, Sunday, November 7th.

Densus 88 Anti-terror Police Headquarters investigated the object that was suspected of being a bomb. Not only did it explode, but the object also contained a threatening message for Veronica Koman.
