The Ministry Of Health Asks For Legal Sanctions For Violators Of Health Protocols Re-echoed By The National Armed Forces-National Police
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health has reminded that regulations for imposing sanctions or penalties for violators of health protocols in public places must be enforced again.
"Now because we feel that the number of cases is going down, we feel that we are safe, the previous sanctions must be echoed again from the National Armed Forces (TNI)-National Police (Polri). This proves that legal sanctions still need to be carried out for 5M violations," said Head of the Center for Quality Improvement of Health Human Resources at the Health Ministry of Health Human Resource Development Center (PPSDM), Diono. Susilo at the Merdeka Barat 9 Forum, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, November 10.
The Ministry of Health assesses that the application of sanctions for violators of health protocols has proven effective in bringing order to the public to comply with the 5M, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap, avoiding crowds, and maintaining mobility.
Diono said the Ministry of Health needed assistance from other agencies and ministries, especially in maintaining vigilance, security and order in the implementation of health protocols.

"We remind people again that the pandemic is not over yet. It is true that there has been a decline, this is because of the cooperation of all of us, both the government and the community. Together, apply the 5M health protocol anywhere at any time, this will speed up the annihilation, avoiding events in the past," he said.
He said the decline in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia now was not only caused by the implementation of health protocols by the public, but also the increasing vaccination coverage.
