PPKM Outside Java-Bali Extended Today, Will It Get Better?
JAKARTA - Today the government will announce the extension of the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) outside Java and Bali. PPKM outside Java-Bali is extended every three weeks and will end today.

Reviewing the implementation of PPKM for the last three weeks, not a single province has implemented Level 4 PPKM. One province is at level 3, 23 provinces are at level 2, and 3 provinces are at level 1.
When viewed at the district/city level, there are 18 districts/cities outside Java-Bali that apply Level 1 PPKM. Then, 157 districts/cities at level 2 and 211 districts/cities at level 3.
Over the past three weeks, the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic outside Java-Bali has been quite under control, with the number of active cases continuing to decline.

The development in the last week, the number of active cases as of October 31 was 6.816 cases or 0.4 percent of the total cases, and decreased by 96.9 percent from the peak of active cases that occurred on August 6, 2021, which was 221.412 cases.
The cure rate outside Java-Bali last week reached 96.39 percent and the death rate was 3.12 percent.
Regarding the achievement of the first dose of vaccination for areas outside Java-Bali, of the 27 provinces, there are 5 provinces whose achievements are above the national average of 57.53 percent, namely Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and North Sulawesi.
However, the other 22 provinces are still below the national average and need to be accelerated.
Then, for the achievement of the second dose of vaccination for areas Outside Java and Bali, there are 4 provinces whose achievements are above the national average of 35.44 percent, namely Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung Islands, East Kalimantan, and Jambi.
Meanwhile, the other 23 provinces are still below the national average and both must continue to accelerate.
What is of concern is that the government is currently wary of an upward trend in cases in 131 regencies/cities in the last few days.
