Japfa Comfeed, So Nice Sausage Producer Owned By Handojo Santosa Conglomerate Raises Sales Of IDR 32.8 Trillion In The Third Quarter Of 2021
JAKARTA - PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JPFA) scored a significant performance growth in the first nine months of this year. The animal feed and processed food company owned by the conglomerate Handojo Santosa was able to reap revenue and profit growth in the third quarter of 2021.
In Japfa's financial report published on the information disclosure page of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), quoted on Wednesday, November 3, the company posted net sales of IDR 32.80 trillion. This value shot up 23.12 percent from the same period last year of IDR 26.64 trillion.
In detail, sales of commercial livestock contributed IDR 12.78 trillion, followed by the animal feed division of IDR 9.74 trillion, processing of livestock products and consumer products of IDR 4.58 trillion, income from aquaculture of IDR 2.82 trillion, and poultry breeding of IDR 2.05 trillion, and other trades of IDR 1.49 trillion.
The cost of goods sold also rose 22.75 percent yoy to IDR 26.87 trillion. As a result, Japfa achieved a gross profit of IDR 5.94 trillion or an increase of 25.31 percent from the same period last year of IDR 4.74 trillion.

At the same time, JPFA's sales and marketing expenses increased 8.69 percent to IDR 1.25 trillion. Meanwhile, general and administrative expenses were recorded at IDR 2.33 trillion, down 1.27 percent from the same period last year of IDR 2.36 trillion.
Thus, Japfa posted a profit for the period before the effect of profit adjustment of the merged entity attributable to the parent company of IDR 1.51 trillion. This value jumped 486.96 percent from the same period the previous year, which was only IDR 257.18 billion.
