Ersa Mayori Admits The Reason For Masters Lecture Is Because Of Being Lonely

JAKARTA - Actress Ersa Mayori bluntly revealed the personal reasons behind her decision to continue her education to undergraduate level. In her statement, Ersa honestly said that the decision was motivated by feelings of loneliness, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Honestly there are facts, I want to say slander but honestly there are facts (graduate students because of loneliness)," said Ersa Mayori, quoted by VOI from Instagram @rumpi_ttv, Monday, May 19.

He recounted that the idea of studying again emerged during a pandemic, making activities at home very limited, including children's schools conducted online.

"So, I'd like to go to college again because of the pandemic, right, all of us have a pandemic at home, children's schools are also online, then I said, 'Eh, can you go to online school? Did I go to college again?' We have a lot of ideas, right," Ersa said.

However, he had time to refrain because he thought the pandemic would take place briefly.

"Ah, but if it's a pandemic, it's only 3 months when I'm stuck in college, it turns out that 3 years of the pandemic, I know that I've graduated. That's it, I'm annoyed, 'I'm trying to go to college, I've graduated from when I know'," he said.

Feelings of loneliness are increasingly felt when one of her children moves to Bandung for college. This makes the responsibility of taking care of children at home less.

"Well, that's it, my son studied, moved to Bandung, one, less, right, there's only one thing we take care of at home. Starting to feel, 'yah, my work is getting less and less responsible for taking care of the children'," said Ersa.

The persistent regret finally made him decide to actually register for college, especially because of the online education option.

"And I kept thinking about the regret, so I finally thought, 'Yes, go to college again' happened to have an online college option," he continued.

However, Ersa did not deny the dilemma in the middle of her journey to pursue further education.

"Sometimes there are also feelings of regret where I feel, 'I'm looking for knowledge, are you looking for a problem?'," he concluded.

For information, Ersa Mayori decided to continue her education to the Strata-2 (S2) level at the age of 45 years. She took the Master of Communication at LSPR Jakarta, after previously completing her bachelor's degree in Psychology at Atma Jaya University.
