Happy Indonesian Citizens In Hungary Enjoy Opor And Ketupat Embassy Shipments

JAKARTA - Indonesian students and people in Hungary celebrate Eid al-Fitr in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic by enjoying opor and ketupat delivered by the Embassy of Budapest.

"Thank you very much for the delivery of opor, rendang and ketupatnya," said an Indonesian student in Hungary when receiving a gift of Lebaran sent by the Indonesian Embassy team in Budapest, quoted by Antara, Friday, May 14.

"Even though it is far from the homeland, the atmosphere of Eid and family sense can still be felt," said a number of Indonesians in Hungary who received the Eid al-Fitr gift from the Embassy of Budapest.

Just like the previous year, for Eid al-Fitr this year the Hungarian Government still imposes restrictions on movement so that Muslims, including from Indonesia, have not been able to hold Ied and Halal bihalal prayer activities together.

However, the Embassy of Budapest will still carry out halal bihalal virtually with Indonesians living in Hungary.

Amidst restrictions on movement due to the pandemic, The happiness of Eid al-Fitr can still be felt by indonesians in Hungary. A week before the holiday, the Embassy of Budapest sent packages of Eid cakes to Indonesian people and students in various cities and regions in Hungary.

A number of gifts of opor, rendang and ketupat Lebaran were distributed right on Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri for indonesian students and people in Budapest which was centered in three mutually agreed locations.

The activity was juxtaposed with the socialization of care portals as well as safe travel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During ramadan, the Embassy of Budapest actively organizes various religious activities, although it is carried out online.

Every weekend together with the Indonesian Students Association (PPI) in Hungary held an online iftar activity that began with lectures on interesting topics.
