BYD Showcases New Han L Sedan and Tang L SUV, Embedded with LiDAR Technology

JAKARTA - Build Your Dream (BYD) features its newest product teaser, the Han L sedan and the Tang L SUV, which are the mainstay models in the Dynasty series.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Saturday, January 4, the Chinese brand did not share the full details, but the images released showed the two were equipped with LiDAR technology at the top of the windshield.

The technology is embedded to support advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) advanced systems, which can provide the best experience for users.

The technology is also a big step for BYD, because the existing Tang L and Han L models have not yet presented LiDAR technology. Later, the sensor will be responsible for producing a very accurate 3D map from the environment around the vehicle.

Visually, this one car features a slim and modern design and is estimated to be not much different from the previous model and remains a mainstay.

BYD sells the Han L and Tang L sedans in China with two choices of powertrains, starting from PHEV and BEV. It is estimated that both still pack the same system.

For the hybrid version, equipped with the latest DM 5.0 technology system. Meanwhile, for the pure electric vehicle version pack the latest generation LFP blade battery 2.0.

In dimensions, the Tang L SUV has a length of 4,870 mm, a width of 1,950 mm, and a height of 1,725 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Meanwhile, the Han L version has a length of 4,995 mm, a width of 1,910 mm, and a height of 1,495 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm.

The brand from China, which is already present in Indonesia, has not disclosed the prices for the two models above, but is predicted to be more expensive than the previous version because it is embedded with the latest technology.
