WordPress Now Offers Extending Domain Up To 100 Years

JAKARTA - WordPress, an open source software to create a 20-year-old website, blog, or app, announced a new offer called the 100-year-old Plan.

The company said in its blog post that the 100-year plan allows customers to extend their domain registration for up to 100 years. That means blogs or websites will be active longer.

"Now, we are excited to announce something completely new and extraordinary: a plan specifically designed for those looking for the best in security and longevity for their digital presence," the company wrote.

With this 100-year offer, Wordpress says customers can preserve their digital assets, including stories, photos, sounds and videos for future generations.

It is also suitable for individuals looking for a stable, flexible, and adaptable online home that can adapt to any changes that will occur in the future of technology.

"Domain is your most valuable digital asset. While standard domain registration lasts a decade, our 100-year Plan gives you the opportunity to secure your domain for a full century," added.

Furthermore, WordPress.com's 100-year plan includes special and personalized support at prices priced starting at US$ 38,000 (Rp579 thousand).

WordPress will provide domains with 100-year registration, automatic backups to multiple servers, and even the Internet Archive, state-of-the-art ownership and hosting tools, and support around the clock.
