JAKARTA - Some time ago AMD CEO Lisa Su stated that she would soon launch a superchip claimed to be AMD Instinct MI300X. Included for companies running data centers.

Retail and Product Enablement Manager of AMD Indonesiaani Brahmandhika stated that the progress of the menyoal superchip has received many orders, especially from its own company partners.

"Currently, there have been many orders because it is for the Data Center," saidOK to VOI in South Jakarta, Wednesday, June 21.

"There are many of our partners who order, one of which is Google to be more cloud and consumer," he added.

The superchip is believed to be a strong competitor to Nvidia Corp. This chip has one of the most advanced Graphic Processing Units (GPU) for Artificial Intelligence-based computing (AI).

MI300X is based on the architecture of the next 3 generation AMD CDNA accelerator and supports HBM3 memory of up to 192GB.

This chip is devoted to providing the computing and memory efficiency required in the Large Language Model (LLM) training as well as inference for the generating AI workload.

These MI300X features will be key to determining whether the chip will be able to handle the great AI model behind services like OpenAI's ChatGPT.
