Google Floods Gmail Users With Annoying Ads

JAKARTA - Google now displays more ads in Gmail. However, the ad format presented is not at the top anymore, but is embedded like a regular email list.

Launching 9to5Google, Saturday, May 6, advertisements are now displayed not only in Promotion and Social inboxes, but also present in the Update inbox which was left empty without jklan, he is no longer placed at the top of the inbox.

These changes can be seen in the cellular and desktop versions of Gmail. Just like other inboxes, two ads are now appearing at the top of the email list, making the clean space look messy.

Since the company does not separate these ads, of course many Gmail users have protested against Google's actions.

Some of them vented that annoyance via Twitter, "As a person who works very hard to keep my email under control, I'm really bothered that Gmail just puts random ads into my now-inbox," tweeted @rhallma which translates into Indonesian.

On average from user complaints, they are quite difficult to distinguish between original emails and advertisements as a result of this Google-generated placement.

At the moment, it's unclear whether it's a test or a permanent change to show users more ads.

In response to this, a Google spokesperson to XDA Developers said, "We're always experimenting with formats and looking for ways to help people find and connect with new businesses," he explained.

"Tab Promotion displays promotional emails from businesses where people subscribe, as well as offerings and offerings from companies that people might like. We launched an instream ad on the Promotion tab last year across mobile devices and in the past month it has also been expanded to desktop," he added.
