JAKARTA - Social media platform Reddit has announced the launch of a new feature that allows users to be able to share posts on Reddit to other social media platforms.

"Starting today, we're rolling out a new feature to make it easier for redditors and publishers to share content on and off Reddit," Reddit wrote on its blog, quoted Thursday, May 4.

Previously, when someone came across a post, conversation, or meme on Reddit, they couldn't share that content with other people or on other social media. Well, with this feature, the problem will be resolved.

In Reddit's native apps for iOS and Android, you'll now find a few new things, including:

Updated 'shared link' preview of text posts users have shared via messaging services. Views of shared posts now include a visual preview of the content, subreddit name, and total upvotes and comments.

The ability to share content directly from Reddit to Instagram Stories without having to screenshot or download the content first.

A new custom share sheet featuring the most used share channels that appears when a user clicks on the share icon below a post, making it easier to publish without ever leaving Reddit.

Also, the screenshot sharing experience, which allows users to share content without saving the image to their device means they can link back to the content instead of just sending a screenshot.

Furthermore, Reddit has also introduced a new toolbox that makes it easy to showcase Reddit content on their own platform.

This new toolbox comes with features that clearly outline the predictable height of a post or comment, show the community the content is coming from more clearly, and display the total number of upvotes and comments.
