2023 MotoGP Standings: Bagnaia In The Ambang Champion!

Ducati Lenovo Team rider Francesco Bagnaia is in a fairly safe position to defend the MotoGP title (Instagram/@pecco63).

JAKARTA The 2023 MotoGP season leaves only one series of races to determine the title. Initially, Francesco Bagnaia was predicted to be able to win the world title at the Qatar 2023 MotoGP on Monday, November 20, 2023, but the scenario failed.

The latest MotoGP 2023 race which will be held at the Losail International Circuit, Qatar, Monday, November 20, 2023 belongs to Fabio DI Giannantonio. Previously, Jorge Martin successfully led the sprint race.

Jorgen Martin, who rode the Pramac Racing Team, cut the point gap with the leader of the standings, Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo Team. The difference is only seven points, the age of winning the sprint race.

Unfortunately, he then slumped in the race. The failure in the full race made the Spanish driver's chance to disturb Bagnaia in the competition for the world title even smaller.

The reason is, he is now 21 points adrift of Pecco, Bagnaia's greeting. This figure is clearly quite large considering that there is only one race series this season.

During the full race, Martin finished in 10th position because he had problems with the rear tire. Meanwhile, Bagnaia managed to finish the race right behind his compatriot, Giannantonio, or second place.

The results in the Qatar MotoGP make Bagnaia now comfortable in the top position with a collection of 437 points, while Martin follows with a collection of 416 points. Following later is Marco Bezzecki who has 326 points.

Judging by the difference in numbers of that size, Bagnaia only needed to win a sprint race in the final MotoGP series in Valencia this weekend. The scenario, Jorge Martin completed the sprint race on the third podium.

If that happens then even if Martin wins the full race and adds 25 points it won't mean anything.

The scheme will allow Martin to collect a total of 448 points, while Bagnaia 449 aka is one point ahead to defend the title.
