The Indonesian National Team Is Still Waiting For The Preliminary Match To End In Surabaya

SURABAYA - The U-17 Indonesian football national team remained and trained in Surabaya while waiting for the entire preliminary round match to end, especially the South Korean match against Burkina Faso in Group E and Mexico against New Zealand in Group F.

"We are still in Surabaya while waiting for the entire preliminary round match which ends this Saturday. For that we continue to train and the players must maintain their condition," said Bima Sakti, quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, November 18.

According to FIFA records, Garuda Muda's chances of qualifying for the round of 16, still exist, but the situation must be determined by two matches in Group E and F which will compete on Saturday, November 18.

Therefore, the coach from Balikpapan must maintain the physical condition of his foster children in order to stay fit if they can qualify for the last 16 of the U-17 World Cup.

"The team's conditions are good, and we remain normal in training. Recovery exercises for players who play 90 minutes full and over 45 minutes. Others practice normal while maintaining conditions in the gym," he said.

Meanwhile, Indonesian national team captain M Iqbal Gwijangge stated that he had forgotten the defeat against Morocco which ended in a narrow lag, because the chances of qualifying for the round of 16.

"All the players have forgotten last night's result and continue to be enthusiastic. We have to be ready and focused if we qualify for the round of 16 with the best third-placed status," said Iqbal.

The final standings of Group A of the U-17 World Cup, Indonesia is in third place by packing two points from two draws and one loss.

Meanwhile, Morocco came out as the Champion with a total of six points from a two-time win and one loss.

Meanwhile, Ecuador won the group runner-up position by packing five points from one win and two draws.
