JAKARTA – Poland U-17 will definitely pick up their suitcases early at the 2023 U-17 World Cup. They have suffered two consecutive defeats against Japan and Senegal.

Now, the team coached by Marcin Wlodarski is in the bottom position without points in Group D. In their first group match, they lost 0-1 to Japan, Saturday (11/11/2023).

Instead of giving hope of qualifying in the second match, Poland U-17 instead lost again. This time it was Senegal who dashed the White Eagles' hopes of getting points.

In the match held at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Tuesday (14/11/2023), Poland U-17 lost 1-4.

Unfortunately, the two matches played by Marcel Wojciech Regula and his colleagues were always marked by temporary stops due to bad weather.

Even so, Wlodarski did not point to the weather as a factor in his foster children not being optimal. He considered that his troops could not appear free and were always under pressure from their opponents in the first two matches.

So, learning from these two matches, Poland U-17 is motivated to perform better in the final Group D match against Argentina U-17 on 17 November 2023.

Even though it has no influence on Poland U-17's progress, they want to prove that their mistake will not be repeated.

“We have three days. We will prepare ourselves better. We have to be stronger in controlling the ball. We cannot easily lose the ball and concede when possession is lost. "Of course, playing more freely, without pressure," said Wlodarski.

Wlodarski's enthusiasm is not without reason. He assessed that his students played better in the second match against Senegal U-17. The proof is that they have been able to open up goals through the actions of Marcel Regula.

Meanwhile, the Group D standings are quite interesting in the race for runners-up. Argentina U-17 and Japan U-17 will fight tooth and nail in the final match to accompany Senegal U-17, who have already received a ticket to the round of 16 of the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
