Duel Jeka Saragih And Jesse Butler Canceled, UFC Try To Find New Opponents

JAKARTA - The duel plan between Jeka Saragih and Jesse Butler at UFC Fight Night 232 on November 18 is confirmed to be canceled. Butler chose to withdraw due to injury.

The UFC immediately tried to find a new opponent as a challenger for Jeka Saragih, an Indonesian fighter who will debut at the UFC.

The certainty about Butler's resignation from the duel with Jeka was revealed by Mola Sport as the official UFC broadcasting rights holder. After revealing Butler's situation on Wednesday, October 25 evening, Mola still has not found a substitute opponent.

"Jeka Saragih will need a new opponent for his UFC debut in November, because his initial opponent, Jesse Butler, has resigned due to injury. Who do you want to see as an Indonesian star in his debut later?" Mola wrote.

The duel of Jeka Saragih vs Butler will actually be held at UFC Apex, Las Vegas. The match was the opening match before the main fight between Brendan Allen vs Paul Craig was held in the middle class.

UFC Fight Night 232 will be Jeka's debut at the UFC event since signing a contract on February 5. The 28-year-old fighter was contracted by the UFC five fights in the featherweight.

Jesse Butler juga menjadi salah satu warung yang baru dikontrak UFC. Debut Butler terjadi saat kalah KO babak pertama dari Jim Miller pada 3 Juni lalu.

Butler's total record at MMA was 15 defeats and 12 wins. Meanwhile, Jeka Saragih is an MMA fighter from Indonesia who graduated from One Pride who had a record of 13 wins and 3 defeats.

Jeka Saragih last appeared in the octagon arena on February 4. At that time he lost to Anshul Jubli in the Road to UFC match as a fight for the UFC entry contract.
