Failed To Present A Gold Medal At The 2023 Asian Games, Fajar/Rian Sorry And Support

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, ran aground in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Games. The failure which made badminton branch certainly failed to meet the target of three gold medals.

In the match which took place at Binjing Gymnasium, Hangzhou, Fajar/Rian had to admit the superiority of Taiwanese representatives, Lee Yang/Wang Chi Lin. Fajar/Rian lost two straight games with a score of 19-31 and 18-21.

Fajar/Rian admit that there is pressure to be able to perform better after experiencing a negative trend in several previous tournaments. Moreover, they also bear the burden of being able to maintain PBSI's ambition to win three gold medals at the 2023 Asian Games.

"Every player must be under pressure to achieve even better. Maybe keep it more difficult than getting in this position we have to be more patient and work harder," said Fajar.

"We ask for the support of all parties, hopefully, the difficult situation that we are experiencing will not take long and can quickly rise. We can find confidence again," he continued. Indonesia still has hope of winning a gold medal from badminton even though the target has missed.
