Jorge Martin Masters Japan's MotoGP Sprint Session, Now Approaching Bagnaia

JAKARTA - Jorge Martin increasingly showed his dominance on Saturday 30 September in the Japanese MotoGP event. Racers from the Prima Pramac team managed to win their third consecutive victory in the Tissuet Sprint session.

Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) tried his best to chase Martin, but in the end finished 1.3 seconds behind racer number 89, while Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati Lenovo Team) won third.

Ducati Racers In Third Position

Martin has led every lap in the last two Tissuet Sprints, and he continues that proud record with a fine start that gave him the lead at Turn 1. Bagnaia also had a good start, but Binder and Jack Miller, two KTM factory team riders, managed to surpass Bagnaia in the first lap.

In the next few laps, Martin managed to open the gap about 0.338 seconds from Binder who was in second place. Bagnaia itself trailed 1.7 seconds from Martin.

In the middle of the race, the two KTM riders started to slow down a bit, but Binder managed to maintain a gap of about three-tenths of a second, and both began to stay away from other competitors.

Meanwhile, a tight battle took place in third place between Bagnaia and Miller. Miller defended his position very strongly, and although Bagnaia tried several times to get past Miller, he managed to maintain third place until the last lap. Martin took the lead from start to finish and won on Tissuet Sprint.

Standings

This result further extended Martin's dominance in the qualifying session and Tissuet Sprint. He is now getting closer to Bagnaia in the Championships standings, with a difference of just eight points. The MotoGP Grand Prix race in Motegi on Sunday will be a very interesting spectacle. The race will start at 15:00 local time (GMT + 9).
