Second Day Of China Open 2023: 8 Indonesian Representatives In Action

JAKARTA The first round of the 2023 China Open badminton event will take place today, Wednesday, September 6. A total of eight Indonesian representatives will take action.

From the men's doubles, there were three representatives who went to the field. The three representatives are Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan, Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, and Pramudya Kusuma Wardana/Yeremia Rambitan.

Earlier on the first day yesterday, two representatives who took part in this number failed to extend their sales to the second round, namely the first seed Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin.

Meanwhile, three of the five representatives who played were Putri Kusuma Wardani (women's singles), Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (men's singles), and Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati (mixed doubles).

Then two others from the women's doubles sector, namely Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi.

Previously on Tuesday, September 5, as many as nine Indonesian representatives had already played. Of that number, only five of them remained in this Super 1000 BWF level event or qualified for the second round.

The five representatives who passed came only from mixed doubles and men's singles sector. In the mixed doubles there were three representatives who passed, while in the men's singles there were two.

The mixed doubles that escaped were Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, and Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti.

Meanwhile, two of the men's singles who passed were Jonatan Christie and Shesar Hiren Rhustavito.
