JAKARTA Chris Eubank Jr. managed to avenge TKO's defeat to Liam Smith eight months ago. Fighting in the same place, Manchester Arena, Manchester, England, Saturday night 2 September 2023, Eubank Jr beat Smith through a TKO round 10 out of 12 scheduled.

On January 21, Eubank Jr. lost to TKO round 4 to Smith, in a match that did not compete for a title in the middle class (72 kg). This time the two boxers, who are very popular for boxing addicts in England, also fought without fighting for any title.

Unlike the first match, in Eubank Jr.'s second fight. showed much better performance. The son of the legendary British boxer former WBO middleweight champion, Chris Eubank, dominated every round. Eubank Jr. (33) forced Smith (35) to last more.

However, Smith's former junior middleweight (69 kg) WBO's defense finally broke. Eubank Jr.'s punches knocked Smith down in round 4 and injured his right temple. Blood bursts and his body staggered due to being hit all round, to climax in round 10. Smith's struggling condition made referee Kevin Parker stop the duel. TKO's victory was given to Eubank Jr.

"I have to prove that what I said is true. I'm not the type of person who likes to pretend. If I say I will avenge the defeat, I will definitely do it," said Eubank Jr. after the fight as reported by Sky Sports.

The victory set the record for Chris Eubank Jr.'s fight to 33-3-0 (24 KOs). While Liam Smith suffered the fourth defeat, with a total record of 33-4-1 (20 KOs).
