Apri/Fadia In High Confidence Ahead Of China Open 2023

JAKARTA - The Indonesian women's doubles pair, Apriyani Rahayu and Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, are in high confidence ahead of the 2023 China Open next week.

This confidence strengthened after they reached the final round of the 2023 World Championships some time ago, where they managed to become runners-up in the competition.

"The results we have achieved at the World Championships have increased our confidence, motivating us to achieve higher achievements in the future," said Fadia.

When the World Championships were held in Denmark, the Apri/Fadia pair were the only Indonesian representatives to make it to the final round. Unfortunately, in the top match, they had to admit the superiority of the Chinese pair, Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan, in two straight games.

Apri explained that after returning from Denmark, they had experienced jet lag due to the difference in the time zone between Indonesia and Denmark. However, they have tried hard to recover their physical condition.

"We have focused on getting our physical condition back. Despite experiencing jet lag, we have prepared well to perform in China. We are still training and ready to compete," added Apri.

The China Open, a BWF World Tour Super 1000 level tournament, will take place from September 5 to 10 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou, China.

Apri/Fadia and their team departed for China on Saturday, September 2, using China Southern Airlines, flight number CZ3038, from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten.

The Apri/Fadia pair, who are currently ranked eighth in the world, will face Thailand's representative, Jongkolphan Kititharakul/Rawinda Prajongjai, in the first round of the competition.
